Description
The 525100-008 YMCK ribbon is specifically designed for the Sigma DS3 card printer with lamination module. Also, you can use it in a simplex or a duplex card printer. It contains 4 full panels - yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C) and black (K). On the one hand, the YMC panels allow you to print higher quality images, since they can recreate all the colors of the spectrum. On the other hand, the black panel allows you to print barcodes, text and monochrome graphics. Since this ribbon doesn't come with a topcoat panel, it doesn't prevent your cards from fading or protect them against abrasion. Therefore, it is important to use the 525100-008 YMCK ribbon in a card printer that has a lamination module.
* Note: On one of the ribbon rollers, you will find a radio-frequency antenna called RFID (see picture). This antenna should not be removed as it enables the printer to recognize the type of ribbon installed in the printer's cartridge. If this antenna is removed, the printer will display an error message and suspend card printing. To fix this problem, simply place the antenna cap back on the correct roller and restart the printer.
