Description
This 508668-001 clear laminate ribbon is designed for the SD460 card printer with lamination module. It adds a protective layer to your PVC cards. This process makes your printed cards more resistant, protects the color from fading and prevents daily wear and tear. Additionally, this clear film deters card tampering. This 508668-001 clear laminate has a thickness of 0.5 mil. Also, this type of ribbon is full, which means that it will be applied to the entire side of the card. In short, this laminate greatly increases your cards' durability and longevity.
The manufacturer recommends using only Entrust certified laminate ribbons. Genuine ribbons preserve the superior print quality of Entrust card printers.
* Note: On one of the laminate rollers, you will find a radio-frequency antenna called RFID (see picture). This antenna should not be removed as it enables the printer to recognize the type of laminate installed in the lamination module. If this antenna is removed while loading the laminate, you will get an error message (e.g. "Printer Laminate Not Identified"). The printer will automatically suspend printing of all the remaining cards. To correct this issue, place back the antenna on the correct roller and restart the printer.
