Retransfer technology differentiates itself from direct-to-card printing with its innovative printing technique. Instead of printing directly on plastic cards, images are first printed on the retransfer ribbon, which is then affixed on the card. With this method, you will be able to print up to the edges of the card without leaving any visible white borders. This ultra-resistant ribbon supports ART (advanced retransfer technology). For proper functioning, this retransfer ribbon must be paired with a monochrome or color ribbon (compatible with Matica card printers listed below). These items are sold separately. All EDISecure® ribbons are automatically recognized by the printer: no user configuration is required.
