Retransfer technology differentiates itself from direct to card printing with its innovative technique. Instead of printing directly on plastic cards, images are first printed on the retransfer ribbon, which is then affixed on the card. With this method, you can print up to the edges of the card without leaving any visible white borders. This Fargo® retransfer ribbon has an approximative printing capacity of 1500 images. To ensure the proper functioning of Fargo® HDPii and HDP5000 card printers, this retransfer ribbon must be used with compatible Fargo® monochrome and color ribbons. These items are sold separately.
