SLM Simplex lamination module – Sigma DS2

The SLM Simplex lamination module is designed to be added to the Entrust Sigma DS2 card printer. It laminates one side of the card (simplex model). It is recommended to use a laminating film on your cards for two reasons. Firstly, lamination prevents the card from changing color. In fact, it is normal for the print to fade or even discolor after a certain period of daily use. The Lamination Module solves this problem by adding a barrier above the print. This prevents direct impact on printed graphic elements such as photos, logos and text. Secondly, lamination protects against counterfeiting. Fraudsters only have access to the surface of the card – no changes to the original print are possible. In short, the SLM duplex lamination module significantly increases the durability and security of your cards.

In addition, various lamination tapes are available, from clear to holographic. The manufacturer recommends using only Entrust-certified tapes to maintain the print quality of your cards.
