This application substantially reduces your cards\u2019 normal wear and tear and protects them from scrapes. This laminate ribbon is made of clear polyester and makes your printed smart contact cards more resistant to damages caused by repetitive use and humidity. Plus, it offers additional protection by printing Entrust\u2019s OptiSelect\u2122 unique \u201cGlobe\u201d holographic design on your cards. This process increases your smart contact cards\u2019 security and ensures their authenticity. This laminate ribbon can laminate 350 images and is compatible with Entrust's (formerly Datacard) CD800CLM and SD460 card printers.<\/p>\n<p><em>* Note: On one of the laminate rollers, you will find a radio-frequency antenna called RFID (see picture). This antenna should not be removed as it enables the printer to recognize the type of laminate installed in the lamination module. If this antenna is removed while loading the laminate, you will get an error message (e.g. \"Printer Laminate Not Identified\"). This will automatically suspend the printing of all the remaining cards. To avoid this problem, make sure the RFID antenna is securely attached to the laminate ribbon.
