Description
This 508808-001 "Secure Globe" holographic laminate ribbon is designed for Entrust card printers with lamination modules. It adds a protective layer that covers your PVC or composite cards. This process makes your printed cards more resistant, protects the color from fading and prevents daily wear and tear. Additionally, this holographic film, featuring Entrust's own globe design, deters card tampering. This 508808-001 "Secure Globe" holographic laminate has a thickness of 0,6 mil. In short, lamination greatly increases your cards' durability and longevity. Also, thanks to its unique holographic design, this laminate adds an element of security to your printed cards, thus ensuring their authenticity.
This laminate ribbon is compatible with the following card printers from Entrust:
- SD460 and SD460 R010
- CD800 with a lamination module
- Sigma DS3 with a lamination module
The manufacturer recommends using only Entrust certified laminate ribbons. Genuine ribbons preserve the superior print quality of Entrust (formerly Datacard) card printers.
* Note: On one of the laminate rollers, you will find a radio-frequency antenna called RFID (see picture). This antenna should not be removed as it enables the printer to recognize the type of laminate installed in the lamination module. If this antenna is removed while loading the laminate, you will get an error message (e.g. "Printer Laminate Not Identified"). The printer will automatically suspend printing of all the remaining cards. To correct this issue, place back the antenna on the correct roller and restart the printer.
