To use our card production software, you will need the appropriate printer driver and a recent PC with enough RAM as well as a decent sized hard drive.

Printer
A typical plastic card printer uses color ribbons to apply the 4 primary colors (yellow, magenta, cyan, black) on the cards by way of thermal transfer or dye sublimation. Monochrome ribbons are also available to those who wish to print cards using only one color.

Cameras
Digital photo or video cameras are invaluable tools to help you produce photo IDs. The majority of today’s cameras allow you to capture high quality images. However, one must take into account a variety of other factors (lighting, background, framing…) when designing identification elements. When taking a photo meant for an ID card, we suggest you use the passport format, one where the face is framed in a frontal close-up against a monochrome, preferably white, background.

Capture devices
Scanners, digital signature pads and biometric capture devices are other elements with which to pad your ID card production arsenal. If, for example, you don’t have access to a digital photo camera, then a photo scanner might do the trick, allowing you to import photos directly into your computer.
